The Julian ShrineSt Andrews Church, Holt, Norfolk.

Julian's hermitage, attached to St Julian’s Church, was pulled down during the Reformation, but it was rebuilt after wartime bombing.

Today the Julian Shrine is a place of stillness and prayer in the midst of a busy city. Pilgrims come from all over the world to reflect on the words God spoke to Julian, “All shall be well, all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well”.

Mass takes place at the Shrine on Mondays at 10am and on Fridays at 5pm, and prayer requests are offered at the Friday Eucharist.

The church is open daily from 7.30am to 5pm (or at dusk in winter).

After your visit to the shrine, do visit the Julian Centre for a warm welcome.

The Julian Library of Spirituality

The Julian reference library is housed within the Julian Centre and aims to stock everything ever written about Julian, in any language. It offers a place to study, links with fellow devotees and a knowledgeable and friendly staff to help direct your research.

In addition, there is a lending library that includes books of general Christian interest.

Visitors and Party Bookings

Individual visitors as well as groups from churches, schools, etc, are always welcome. Talks on Julian can be arranged on request. Please let us know if you are bringing a large party so we can make the necessary arrangements.
